AHS was co-founded by three visionary individuals who united their distinct professional backgrounds and expertise with a shared goal: to expand access to timely, high-quality healthcare for workforce and campus populations alike — including their families. Together, they built an organization that bridges the gap between the growing demand for healthcare and the barriers that so often stand in the way of receiving it.

At the heart of AHS is a robust, nationwide network of acute care physicians and mental health clinicians — comprised of all races, gender identities, and religions — available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Quality care is never out of reach, regardless of when or where it's needed.
Our network supports over 170 languages, including American Sign Language, ensuring every member can communicate and receive care in the language they're most comfortable with.
About the Principals
Larry Sheffield
An experienced serial entrepreneur, Mr. Sheffield is the founder and current CEO of Advanced Health Strategies. He has held executive leadership positions in Consulting and Strategic Advisory Services, Financial and Capital Services, Real Estate, and Public Relations, Legislature and Public Affairs. Mr. Sheffield is the founder of Goldwater Bank, a Scottsdale area Community Bank. He graduated New Mexico State University, where he currently serves as President of the Board of Regents. Since 1995, he has been a Delegate of the White House Conference on Small Business.
W. Brown Glenn
Brown Glenn's career includes thirty years in finance and management, including 14 years in New York with the Mortgage Finance, Corporate Finance, and Investment Banking departments of Smith Barney Harris Upham & Co (Shareholder)., Merrill Lynch, and Nippon Credit Bank. He served as co-founder and Managing Director of Pegasus Funds, LLC., a Private Equity investment firm in Dallas, Texas with investments in domestic energy production, medical and nurse staffing, and security personnel staffing. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Business in Business Administration.
Larry Peterson
Larry Peterson is a Veteran and has a background in healthcare that includes training as a psychotherapist, managing the development of the PPO and Centers of Excellence at one of the largest U.S.-based commercial airlines, and as principal and CEO of 2 healthcare startups. He is a founding principal in The Performance 3 Group, which provides employers with EAP and mental health services for their employees without having to access the company health plan.
